The Pacific blood star (Henricia leviuscula leviuscula) can grow to 32 cm (13 in) across. 5 slender arms with a small central disc. Generally orange to red-brown coloration but may possess small grey patched between arms. Found in Siberia, Japan and range from north Alaska to north Mexico. Intertidal zone to 400 m depth. Primarily feeds on sponges.
