Estuary Babalaza, yellow female
At Oberoi House Reef, Sahl Hasheesh there is a sea grass area with Spiny Seahorses.
There were several of the same species (or morphologically similar species) found in the same small area in the sand. It was in 18-20m of water and they were attached to small bits of coral or rock. They were there, as far as I knew, for at least a year, on a popular dive site around Koh Tao, Thailand.
Pregnant male hippocampus guttulatus. Pale green in colour with pale bands and speckles. Torso length 4 cm, total length 10 cm.
Seahorse was found at a muck dive site. About 5cm long.
