FBW hasn't come through on this one, so figured I'd give y'all a whack at it. Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve, Costa Rica, 1500 m. I suspect it is some flavor of Green-crowned Brilliant, Heliodoxa jacula (esp as it seems to have the violet throat dot; and the structure looks right), but the rufous feathers are in completely the wrong place for an immature male, at least as described in Garrigues & Dean -- ear coverts & breast collar/belly ground color, rather than chin & malar stripe like a well-behaved definitive immature male.
