Still gotta grind through my moths from last night, but here's my favorite, the Western Poplar Sphinx, a real giant that alighted upon a blue oak next to the sheet. They must be using the cottonwoods growing around the creek bed.

Western Meadowlark, San Luis National Wildlife Reserve
Colour: Black and orange.
Legs: Six.
Exterior: Covered in ridges.
Body type: Like an ant, but back end like a rattle snake. Moves smoothly, and shakes back when threatened.
