Starflower (Trientalis borealis) is a common forest floor plant. It has a whorl of 5-9 long, pointed, smooth edged leaves from a slender stem. When younger than these ones, they produces two small white flowers.
Segmented leaves, yellow in autumn, usually has long thorns but branches often very high up.
Light green/grey color.
Long stem with sausage-like flowers. Found near pond.
This nymph is identifiable by the elongated body with flat and pointed edges to serrated edges along abdomen. It has large eyes with small antennae in front of it. The color is a nearly transparent light brown which shows a 'spine' that goes down the middle of its body.
