Caught and released this large mouth bass this spring.
Found by @string_of_nature under Abies. Very mild spermatic and soapy odor.
Flushed from dense chaparral brush.
I'm assuming this is a Lesser Scaup rather than Greater due to the inland location.
Approx 4 inches long. About 1 centimeter wide.

White mushroom with beautiful pink gills. No bruising from being picked or crushed, grew in a small cluster.
What a pleasant surprise to find such a fresh, beautiful comma... and so cooperative for photos too!
