Yesterday evening I was fly fishing on a stretch of the river in Glendale Narrows using a chartreuse popper and I caught and released 8 green sunfish averaging 4" long. I am amazed by the aggressive nature of this species - and their large mouths! Caught these from about 5 pm to about 6:30. They seemed very healthy. All were released without incident.
These are two of my snails....I have generations of this type in my garden. I have lived here for over fifty years, and have been fortunate to observe them that long!
