Tenthredo ferruginea - Feeding on Rubus

Characteristics:

Young larva - length: 9 mm.
Found on Crataegus - underside of a leaf.
The younger larva can be lila but later change to Olivegreen or brownish back.
Head: Lightbrown/Orange, above grossly redyellowish dotted, with a black spot on the top and below each eyespot.
2 x 7 prolegs
On each segment across there is 3 lines of white, black-edged warts.
Many foodplants: Sorbus, Crataegus, Betula, Corylus, Rubus, Prunus spinosa...
Arge Gracilicornis - Living on Rose, Rubus and Rosa canina.

The larva is living on Betula pendula and Betula pubescens Aug and primarily Sept-Okt
The antennas are rather rudimentary and nearly some cirkles in the head.
Each segment has 6 annulets, with quite small bristles on 1, 2 and 4. annulet.
6 prolegs + 1 analprolegs
It graws away the upper epidermis on the leaf, making small brown areas on it, without spoiling the overall shape of the leaf.
Resting on the underside at day.

Found in dead leaves at my door.
