Our son caught this Leopard Shark while fishing just south of Piedras Blancas and north of San Simeon State Beach. We released it as soon as we had measured and photographed it.
Growing in a patch in a coastal canyon, about 9-15" high
Flash of yellow on back, but not sure if it is a yellow-rumpled warbler.
Sun was setting, bird moved constantly, could not get any closer or see coloring.

Is this a red-legged frog?
Wasp found indoors. It was already dead. If you zoom in you can see some detail. Anyone have an idea of which wasp it is?
