Harts Creek walkway seems to be a stronghold for riroriro (grey warbler) there are always good numbers of these birds along this track and, at this time of year, the males werer singing vigorously

Locally common. Crepuscular - Nocturnal species commonly seen from dusk onwards ferreting about leaf litter in and around tracks - very rarely venturing out into the open ground at night.
