One fled into an adjacent thicket, the one photographed remained under the tin. I picked it up for more photographs, very docile for this species, until suddenly it sucker punched me by biting me on the lip with the lower jaw shredding the inside of my upper lip. I put it down back under the tin.
Observed near the pinnacle point of Dune Ridge Trail.
Found dead in driveway.
