Description

This tree in particular has a lot of insect damage. The leaves are currently green but they will turn red in the fall. The leaf stalks are red. This tree grows in many parts of Ohio.

Description

The Pin Oak leaves are green and they turn copper or red in the fall. The tree's branches droop. This tree is very prominent all throughout Ohio.

Description

The American Elm's branches do not droop. The leaves are double-toothed. The American Elm can be found in many parts of Ohio.

Description

The Sweetbay Magnolia leaves do not change color in the fall they stay green. It has a small fruit that grows off of it that is red or green. The tree also has white flowers that grow in the spring. This tree is found all throughout the United States.

Description

The Swamp White Oak leaves are white on the bottom. The leaves are very shiny and slippery. It's bark peels off very easily. This tree grows best in damp, swampy areas.

Description

The Northern Catalpa has long bean-like seed pods that hang down off of it. The tree also has small white flowers that grow in the spring. The Catalpa is not as prominent in the north as it is in the south.
