It looked like a mallard female, but it was slightly larger and all black, even the typically orange feet! It was seen with a flock of mallards. Could it be a hybrid, or perhaps a mallard mutant?
Anyone know what this is? It's everywhere in my neighbors backyard and jumping the fence into ours

This is the "famous" Gaysville sycamore. I've driven by it many times, but had no idea how massive it was until walking up to it for this photo. I would guess 18' circumference (6' dbh). That's a big tree in VT. I would guess it was planted but don't really know.

saw this dog and this boy playing on the field near vlsb on campus. the dog was entirely dependent on the boy in terms of entertainment (in this case, playing fetch) and also probably food and shelter. the dog in question was also a labrador retriever, a particularly happy-go-lucky and loyal breed that essentially lives to please its humans.
