Additional comments? - Quite a small duck in this case. I wasn’t sure if perhaps it was just fairly young, or actually a related subspecies to the Pacific Black Duck, or just didnt grow all that large. Quite a handsome duck nonetheless. Appeared to be simply going for a casual swim.

(The animal is in the bottom-left corner.) I watched this civet walk across our camp area to the table (pictured) where we got our meals, stick its head into the bucket (bottom-right corner) where we put our dishes and into a cup with a bit of the fruity stuff we had that day left in it, and then walk off with the cup still stuck on its head. It was absolutely hilarious! In the rattan off to the side, it took a few tries to paw off the cup. It then watched from the shadows (eyes glowing in the light), regularly sneaking back in to look for more food while a bunch of humans watched (the picture is from one of these occasions). Our herpetologist put a bit of the food on the ground, and the civet took that, too.
