Friends of the River Banks
Several years ago a small group of midtown neighbors started FORB with the idea of promoting that we have a valuable river resource that has been largely forgotten and abused nearby. We now have monthly events on second Saturday and are getting more families and people in general to appreciate this resource again. More recently, we are working with others and have formed Friends of Sutter's Landing Park (FOSL) to create a long term vision for this area. This has been well received initially and we are currently working to develop restoration, education, recreation, nature and other focuses for the area. More on that soon.
