Plant Ecology: mushroom Hunt

On Sunday October 4, 2015, I made another visit to Prospect Park in search of mushrooms. Initially I
was in search of the first mushroom which I saw on September 21, 2015; however, the area was cleared and the mushroom decayed. I will have to try an identify it from the photos I have. Surprisingly I located a couple other mushrooms. One which has a reddish brown color; having fruiting bodies with round peridioles inside. Fungi of this nature are referred to as a bird's nest fungi. The other fungi I observed were of a pale yellow and white with a cup-like cap and very pronounced lamellae.
