Found this Foxglove on a hot day at Mount Madonna County Park. It was 90+ degrees, at the end of the season. But the flower was in a heavily shaded area, and was doing well.

Saw this checker lily at Edgewood County Park. Fun because of the rectangular pattern.

Big Berry Manzanita (Arctostaphylos glauca)Observer

Manzanita aren't rare. But these were quite odd. They were covered with bright red swellings on the leaves. I suspect they were galls caused by wasps or other insects.
