I am Collections Manager for Herpetology at the Florida Museum of Natural History in Gainesville.

My research focuses on answering questions related to ecology and evolution, with a special emphasis on reptiles and amphibians in marine, tropical, and island systems. I approach answering these questions using interdisciplinary and highly integrative methods that incorporate aspects of physiological and evolutionary ecology, population genetics, systematics, and tools from other subdisciplines. My research incorporates both strong laboratory and field components and currently focuses on 1) bird/snake community ecology on Seahorse Key, Florida, 2) freshwater requirements in marine snakes, and 3) phylogenetic relationships, population genetics/genomics, and patterns of diversification in reptiles and amphibians. I also teach a summer field course in Island Biology at Seahorse Key.
