Nature abounds! Getting my seventh grade students outside to discover the diversity of the flora and fauna is my main goal. This year in San Francisco, with our Aptos Middle School Project, the students have learned how to maintain a garden, appreciate insects without squishing them, identify and classify numerous plants, as well as increase their research skills. iNaturalist provides students the opportunity to communicate and receive feedback with naturalists from around the globe.
