I explore, study, photograph, write about and lecture on Madagascar, and have a particular fascination with the Malagasy amphibians and reptiles.

I am editor of the Bradt Guide to Madagascar Wildlife (3rd ed) and co-author of the Bradt Guide to Madagascar (9th & 10th eds). My photographs have been published in guide books, field guides, magazines, tour brochures and calendars.

I have lectured on Madagascar both on group tour in-country and in the UK, including at the Royal Geographical Society and the Anglo-Malagasy Society, of which I am a committee member.
