Saturday hiker. Retired, so every day is Saturday.

Interested in plants, animals, insects and spiders of the Inland Empire. I hike 20-25 miles a week, mostly in Sycamore Canyon and Box Springs Mountains, but also San Bernardino Mountains, Joshua Tree NP, Anza-Borrego SP and Death Valley NP.

I'm all over the map as far as interests. I'm observing anything and everything that I can't specifically name. Eventually, I'll find a primary interest...or not. I'm enjoying myself.

My current arbitrary goal is to identify 100 species in Sycamore Cyn Wilderness Park. I'm most of the way there. I'm not in a hurry, but spending so much time in all parts of the park presents opportunities that most people don't have the time to experience there.
