Guilford Courthouse National Military Park

Guilford Courthouse National Military Park is the first Revolutionary War battlefield preserved by Congress, 1917. This National Park preserved 245 acres of battlefield and wildlife. The types of flora and fauna found here are Piedmont native plants, exotics, and garden variety (herbs, food, and ornamental). Common wildlife are Piedmont birds, red tailed hawks, copperheads, white-tailed deer, raccoons, mice, possums, and groundhogs.
