We now live on 12 wooded acres in New Boston, New Hampshire surrounded by 89 acres of conserved forrest with a 3 acre pond created by beavers. We have been here for 1 1/2 years and have seen so many things we need to share. In the past two days we found 5 pitcher plants on the property and we watched 3 otters on the pond. We have seen black squirrels, snakes curled up on our welcome mat ( wish I took a picture) and hundreds of tree swallows at the pond.

We have a little over 10 acres of open lawn, woodland and a pond. We have for years managed the property to attract wildlife and use a trail cam to watch different areas of the property. We have many windows so don't have to go far to see wildlife. We have watched Osprey and a KingFisher dive into our pond- just while doing dishes. We have seen close to 80 species of birds and in 2008 Dr. Larry Hamilton and Dr. Norman Pellet who taught Forestry and UVM and Cornell respectively identified 43 different species of trees and shrubs on the property, including 3 of the largest in Charlotte.
