With an interest in a broad spectrum of natural history, particularly plants, birds and water, I am keen to gather information about what is on the ground in the East Kootenay region of BC. Since I live in Kimberley, BC, the Kimberley Nature Park is a favourite haunt with its tremendous diversity of habitats and ease of access.

As an amateur botanist, I have gained a reasonable knowledge of the plants found in the East Kootenay.

Issues associated with water are a great concern with the changing climate having significant impact on supplies, quality of and timing of availability will increasingly have effects on the ecosystems across the planet.
