I live at the base of Mount Tamalpais in Mill Valley, CA, and love exploring right outside my door. I worked as a naturalist for many years in the Pescadero Valley. I'm mostly interested in plants, and always excited to encounter an old friend in a new phase of the life cycle. I'm also a big fan of that one day in February or March when all the rough skinned newts emerge.
