My academic and professional interests are in the environmental field. I am a certified rescue diver with at least 60 dives. I have also gained field experience in marine research and sampling for coral reef and fish .My master’s thesis involved an assessment of the parrotfish and surgeonfish populations in the Turneffe Atoll, Belize. Climate change will have profound effects on Caribbean coral reefs and livelihoods; hence the baseline data collected from the research will go a long way in assessing any changes over time and inform the future management of the Atoll.
