An active marine educator, I teach marine field courses at Oregon Institute of Marine Biology as well as training sessions for CoastWatch and Coastal Master Naturalists. I have been fascinated with tide pools, beach drift, and marine life for the past forty years. I have conducted ecological research in nine countries, have written over 50 scientific papers, co-authored a book (The Biology of Rocky Shores, 2nd Edition by Little, Williams, & Trowbridge), and wrote an invited chapter on introduced marine seaweeds [Trowbridge, C.D. 2006.
