'Oswald' was a hatchling that was hand-reared by my partner at the time. He/she (the owl) lived in the cottage with us for a year or so before drowning as a young adult in the rainwater storage tank in the neighbouring farmyard. In addition to any wild catches, he/she ate ground meat that was mixed with fur that was harvested off Gandhi, the Border Collie/Afghan Hound cross.
