Description

This is Hemileuca peigleri Lemaire, 1981

Multiple males captured here. Most flying - some while at rest. 2 additional photos added. 5 additional photos added.
Male Female Photo is representational from area not this sighting.

PS: this is a full species -- not Hemileuca maia peigleri -- it was elevated to just Hemileuca peigleri after Lemaire described the species in 1981.
