This frog was found in the Kahn River in Swakopmund District, about 20 km NE of Arandis in a small puddle of water (with 3 others of the same species). On the canyon wall above the pond several geckos (Rhoptropus bradfieldi) were observed and a seldom seen snake, the Western Keeled Snake (Pythonodipsas carinata) was also found.
