Description

A Juvenile of Craugastor melanostictus. Seen in Cerro Dantas Wild life Refuge. Whit dorsal color in orange, white and green. This species is found in the cordilleras of Costa Rica and the highlands of central Panama, at elevations of 1,150-2,700m. In Costa Rica, this species is rarely seen and there is little information on its population status. Lips (1998) reported a sharp decline at Las Tablas.
