Gills: Running down the stem, ridges not plates, not separable from stem or cap.

Stem:length 1 - 1.5 times width of cap.

Smell: very mild

These spore dimensions differ from Cantharellus cinnabarinus being longer and having a higher length to width ratio.

However, they are shorter than the lengths reported for C. texensis.
