Observed tree apparently gnawed by a beaver while collecting insect samples on the Rippy Branch tributary to Rock Creek (Rock Creek flows into Lake Mineral Wells to the south and is part of the Brazos River watershed). Live animal was not seen. Habitat was an intermittent pooled stream within a Sugarberry / Elm series woodland.
