The only member of this species we know of in our neighborhood at present and possibly the father of two "Scrambled Quail" hybrids. The species was once very common in our neighborhood, which is shrubbier habitat than Scaled Quail usually prefer, but declined drastically following the onset of persistent drought in 1995.
