Description

Several of this uncommon manzanita were seen on the south slope of Rincon Ridge. The lateral spreading nature of this taxon yields a height of about 55 cm and a breadth of somewhat over one meter. Another diagnostic of the subspecies is the smooth, shiny leaves borne on leaf petioles of about five mm.
