It was a pleasure to meet so many enthusiastic BioBlitzers at the Citizen Science Association meeting in St. Paul, Minnesota!

If you have any additional observations to upload, please still do so (maybe you took several more photos that you haven’t shared yet?). Congrats to @kpmcfarland, @kestrel, @tegmort, @klodonnell, @damontighe, @kcopas, @arielle5, @snewman, @loarie, @jennat, who all made species observations that were firsts for Ramsey County on iNaturalist! (I might have missed some others, so do take a look). Remember that you can also help identify observations made during the BioBlitz—maybe we'll uncover some more local iNaturalist firsts.

I thought it was interesting to compare this BioBlitz to the one we did two years ago in San Jose. As of this writing, we had almost as many participants (51 and 52), observations (743 and 814), and species (204 and 205). I find that impressive considering the much, much more agreeable weather we had in San Jose!

We would love to hear if you have additional thoughts about how best to continue the conversation about BioBlitz best practices (and hard lessons!). Rumor has it that in a couple of weeks, the new computer vision tool will be incorporated into the app, so watch for that. I hope that you all keep using iNaturalist wherever you go and sharing what you find!
