Esslinger cites "Lendemer et al., 2013", by which I think he means

I definitely don't have that. @tom_carlberg, does this change look right to you? It will update quite a few records.

This is a change that is accepted by most lichenologists in the west. Esslinger 19 (from early 2014) lists V. amara; Esslinger 18, from late 2012, lists P. amara. Your request sent me on a long adventure. Re: the reference, the short answer is "I don't have it either".
