Jepson follows Soltis et al in splitting Mitella into several genera including Pectiantia - if this is to be followed then Mitella pentandra should be moved to Pectiantia along with the CA taxa. Mitella is known to be paraphyletic, and these generic splits proposed by Soltis resolve the paraphyly in North America. But FNA doesn't follow this because there's still some Asian Mitella that haven't been dealt with so it doesn't resolve the paraphyly globally. Personally, I prefer the FNA approach to wait, but since Jepson moved ahead with using Pectiantia, probably best to be consistent at least in the US
Unintended disagreements occur when a parent (B) is
thinned by swapping a child (E) to another part of the
taxonomic tree, resulting in existing IDs of the parent being interpreted
as disagreements with existing IDs of the swapped child.
Identification
ID 2 of taxon E will be an unintended disagreement with ID 1 of taxon B after the taxon swap
If thinning a parent results in more than 10 unintended disagreements, you
should split the parent after swapping the child to replace existing IDs
of the parent (B) with IDs that don't disagree.
