Hmm. This is a headache.

It looks like The Plant List recognizes two Conyza sumatrensis taxa with two separate authorities, one of which is real, Conyza sumatrensis (S.F.Blake) Pruski & G.Sancho, and the other, Conyza sumatrensis (Retz.) E.Walker, which is a synonym of Erigeron floribundus.

Since iNat doesn't use authorities, my preference is for this taxon swap to be reversed, since at least in New Zealand we have observations being made of what NZ botanists regard as the real Conyza sumatrensis, and their IDs are getting swapped to Erigeron floribundus. For example, see here.

Is this a reason why we should consider including authorities with names?

Ah, and it gets more complicated. The name of the taxon present in New Zealand is Conyza sumatrensis (Retz.) E.H.Walker (1971), the taxon that the Plant List regards as a synonym of Erigeron floribundus. New Zealand's Plant Names database still regards this Conyza sumatrensis as the preferred name (and states that "The basionym of this name is Erigeron sumatrensis Retz. (1788)").

Hmm.
