Ug - I guess this split was a mistake - BirdLife/IUCN doesn't recognize Acridotheres javanicus, but I think the taxonomic confusion is with A. grandis A. cinereus and A. fuscus, not Acridotheres tristis
Going to taxon swap the the inactive Acridotheres tristis in with the active Acridotheres tristis
Here's the new taxon swap http://www.inaturalist.org/taxon_changes/10693 - not sure whats going on with birds Clements calls Acridotheres javanicus in BirdLife/IUCN. Oh well...
Can you provide some context on the split? E.g. is there a geographic component, or are they morphologically different? That kind of thing is useful for those of us who don't know our southeast Asian birds very well.
