sounds good to me if you want to try out doing a taxon change.
(for some background, last year I had gone through and flagged a bunch of taxa that a) have a lot of observations, plus b) were treated as a different name on POWO. I did this to try to head off potential deviations from POWO before the swaps were committed, rather than after!)

Swapping seems ok to me. Its sister species (Plectocephalus rothrockii) is already in Plectocephalus on iNat (and in POWO, of course). Seems like a straightforward choice to move this taxon to Plectocephalus.
