From the CDC: "Atlantic Canada is not opening geoprivacy for any provincial or federal legally listed species (which is what should be obscured now)"
As there as been no effort on behalf of the CDC that might "lead to an agreement that is favorable to both parties and biodiversity conservation", I am leaving this flag unresolved.
CDC Reasoning 2
Hello Cassi,
Our reasoning here: Black Ash is a highly valued tree for the Miqm’aq and they consider it at risk of poaching in NS where it is quite rare and threatened by disease already. The provincial government treats it as a highly data sensitive species.
Thanks,
Sean
