chris_nelson elmleaf blackberry (Rubus ulmifolius)

POWO doesn't recognize any submembers of this species. R. u. var anoplothyrsus maps to R. ulmifolius. The others are more confused, but I'm not sure how much it matters with so few observations of those.

I don't know anything about this species other than what's in POWO, so I have no further comment. Thanks for following up!

@graysquirrel Thoughts?

please hold off on any swap. the matter is much more confused than it seems at first glance and I strongly believe the POWO entry is inaccurate. see https://ipni.org/n/60452693-2 :

Replaced synonym of Rubus rouzeensis Belhacène

The name R. rouzeensis is not in POWO yet so it has not been assessed whether this is taxonomically the correct name for the nomenclaturally replaced variety name.
