OK - I swapped:
Lacerta trilineata citrovittata -> Lacerta citrovittata https://www.inaturalist.org/taxon_changes/90008
Lacerta trilineata cariensis -> Lacerta diplochondrodes cariensis https://www.inaturalist.org/taxon_changes/90009
Lacerta trilineata diplochondrodes -> Lacerta diplochondrodes diplochondrodes https://www.inaturalist.org/taxon_changes/90010
Lacerta trilineata dobrogica -> Lacerta diplochondrodes dobrogica https://www.inaturalist.org/taxon_changes/90011
Lacerta trilineata galatiensis -> Lacerta diplochondrodes galatiensis https://www.inaturalist.org/taxon_changes/90012
I didn't split Lacerta dobrogica and Lacerta citrovittata off from Lacerta trilineata so there are some existing IDs of Lacerta trilineata which aren't compatible with the new narrowed interpretation. I'd be curious to see how long it takes the community to update/outweigh those IDs
Ok retroactively split https://www.inaturalist.org/taxon_changes/99378
Yes this deviation describes how we're lagging behind the Reptile Database (RD) https://www.inaturalist.org/taxa/35871/taxonomy_details
any objection to resolving this deviation and bringing iNat in line with RD?
