genjitsu Japanese Cinnamon (Cinnamomum japonicum)

It's probably the synonym of Cinnamomum yabunikkei. http://ylist.info/ylist_simple_search.php?any_field=Cinnamomum&capital=0&family_order=2&family_disp_type=1&family_header=0&spec_order=0&list_type=0&search=%E6%A4%9C%E7%B4%A2

POWO partly agrees with this flag.

C. yabunikkei is the accepted name.

C. japonicum is the synonym of C. tenuifolium (accepted name).

I think that C. japonicum and C. tenuifolium should be merged in C. yabunikkei, because Japanese checklist suggests C. tenuifolium is a synonym of C. yabunikkei.

At least, taxon merge (C. japonicum and C. tenuifolium) should be done.

@utchee - by synonymizing C. tenuifolium with C. yabunikkei you are deviating from POWO. If you do this be sure to edit the taxon framework relationships accordingly as I have done here https://www.inaturalist.org/taxon_framework_relationships/381023 and can be seen here https://www.inaturalist.org/taxon_changes/71751
