There are sources that consider Silene lit(h)uanica as a separate species that occurs in Lithuania and Ukraine.

Both spellings are also in circulation.

Atocion lituanicum can be found in iNat under Atocion armeria and is a widespread plant.

Thank you for showing photo of that silver coin - it can be more expensive (if it contains an error) :)

Now on iNaturalist we have 3 different species and one hybrid:

Silene litHuanica. It does not exist on the list of synonyms on https://lt.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lietuvinė_naktižiedė
Atocion armeria var. lituanicum.
Atocion lituanicum (previously Silene lituanica, without letter h).
Atocion lituanicum × atocion armeria. This is ok - this is a hybrid.

Names 2. and 3. should be treated as synonyms also.

Silene lituanica, withuot letter h, is listed on the latest edition of document with protected species: https://e-seimas.lrs.lt/portal/legalAct/lt/TAD/5bffb9f0b50511e8aa33fe8f0fea665f

Quite complicated situation...

This seems a mess. We do nothing wrong here when we merge Silene lithuanica with Atocion lituanicum.
