This lists it as a color variant of A. perversus in 1961. "Possibly this may prove to be a subspecies, but not enough data are available." Actually it looks like that's all on Wikipedia too. That looks like the most recent discussion of it though so who knows what it actually is.

However, I cannot find any recent sources to confirm this is a valid form. At the moment seemed like the right thing, since this obs. is in Borneo and not in Java or Bali as the others, however it looks just like the specimens form those places.
I will downgrade to species level for now.
