Bottom line, I don't think we can deal with this problem by fixing anything at genus level.
It looks like according to POWO
Sechium chinantlense -> unplaced
Sechium compositum -> Microsechium compositum
Sechium edule -> Sicyos edulis
Sechium hintonii -> Microsechium hintonii
Sechium mexicanum -> unplaced
Sechium pittieri -> unplaced
Sechium tacaco -> unplaced
I'm unresolving this flag though because the genus is not in POWO so we need some decision about how to deal with it - even if that means deviating to accomodate it and the unplaced names

I looks like some of the species in Sechium are retained as accepted species* in POWO?
Sechium chinantlense, Sechium mexicanum, Sechium pittieri, and Sechium tacaco are all fine. I'll flag the affected species.
