It looks like the hybrid is valid but the species is a synonym of interior.

This would probably be a rare candidate for a "taxon drop". Or, merge it into the genus Salix, and then delete the synonym "Salix rubra" from the taxon page.
What are the effects of a taxon drop?
S. interior and both species in the hybrid would all be in subgenus Vetrix, would it work better to swap it into that later?
