Unfortunately we have no ability to control why EOL is redirecting its search to that bird page. I'm not sure why they don't have a page for the insect genus. The only fix that would work is if a page named for the genus were to be made and populated with some info on the German language Wikipedia site.

Since EOL data is only shown when there is no Wikipedia page, that would then take precedence and be shown.

Sadly, my German is not good enough to do that.

Hi @peter_gabler, yep, unfortunately iNaturalist curators are not able to fix this situation on our end.

Here is the page to create an article about the insect genus on the German Wikipedia: https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chrysura

I'm consolidating additional flags about About section info. being incorrect to this page, for the same resolution (some may slightly differ from each other, but seem similar since curators can't fix them and there's no current website plan for them):

consolidating?

I thought it would be helpful to combine all the links to related requests in one flag location, to be solved together if discussed again. Although these seem dated and not much can be done, so I also chose this flag to consolidate to as a way to resolve them unless they're ever discussed again. I saw a few curators consolidate related flags (about other topics) in a similar way.

If you or other curators have tips or could answer a few of my curation-related questions sometime, anyone can feel free to email and it would help, I'm still learning how to do a few curator things.

@bdagley thank you! Referring the English Wikipedia page is the best solution!
